Description: Anubias Nana is a compact and highly popular aquatic plant known for its thick, dark green, oval-shaped leaves and durable growth habit. Its small size and slow growth make it perfect for foreground to midground placement in aquariums, especially in nano tanks. Often attached to driftwood or rocks, it adds a natural, polished look to aquascapes without overwhelming the layout. Its sturdy leaves also make it an excellent choice for tanks with fish that may nibble on softer plants.
- Care: Anubias Nana is extremely hardy and beginner-friendly. It thrives in low to moderate lighting and does not require CO₂ supplementation, though additional nutrients can promote fuller growth. The rhizome should always be kept above the substrate to prevent rot and is best attached to hardscape materials. It prefers temperatures between 72–82°F and tolerates a wide range of water parameters. With its slow growth rate and minimal trimming needs, it is a reliable, low-maintenance choice for long-term aquariums.
