Homalomena
Meet the Homalomena
Homalomena is a low-maintenance, tropical houseplant known for its lush, heart-shaped leaves that range from deep green to variegated patterns. It's a great choice for indoor environments due to its ability to thrive in low light and its air-purifying qualities, making it a popular addition to homes and offices.
Light
Homalomena plants thrive in bright, indirect light but can tolerate low-light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.

Common Problems Q&A
Why are the leaves on my Homalomena drooping?
Your Homalomena likes to dry out 50-75% between watering, however if you accidentally let your plant’s soil dry out completely for an extended period of time, you may see leaves go limp, droop, and possibly start to brown. If the soil is extremely dry all the way through the pot, a thorough soak is in order.
Why are the leaves on my Homalomena turning yellow?
If there is new growth on your plant and the yellowing leaves are older, particularly at the bottom of the plant, this yellowing is natural. Your plant sheds its old leaves and sends energy to new growth. It is normal to see a leaf yellowing every few weeks. If it is happening more often than that, it can indicate that something is wrong.
